This Canadian corn whisky is no exception, except for the "limited edition" bit, because this one forms part of the Boutique-y Whisky core range... all in proper, grown up, 700ml bottles! Matured for eight years, entirely in oloroso casks, it`s packed with layers of sherried fruit, toffee ice cream, toasted almonds, and popcorn. Buttery layers of raisin on the nose with studded fudge and blueberry muffins, mellow oak and honeyed dates, plus some candied pecans in the distance. A medley of cooked fruit, vanilla wafer, and toffee ripple ice cream on the palate, with almond butter, popcorn, and stewed apricot. Butterscotch and charred oak are joined by a touch of peppercorn warmth for the finish.
