Glenmorangie 10 Year Old 10YO

The Original is the flagship single malt Scotch whisky from the Glenmorangie Distillery in the Highlands. Matured in a combination of first-and-second-fill American white oak casks for 10 years, the expression is a benchmark for creamy, approachable single malt. A long-running go-to dram for many whisky enthusiasts, this stuff is superb as an aepritif, though more than suitable for enjoying on a cooler evening. The nose is soft, clean and refreshing: lemon sherbert and apricots, with honeyed fruit and a touch of toffee and vanilla. Gentle and satisfying. A little weightier on the palate, with honey and malt, banana bread and subtle sweet spices. Clean and well balanced. The honeyed fruit fades softly, and the finish is whistle-clean. A textbook whisky, this – well made, beautifully balanced, delicate but still flavoursome.
