The Macallan 15 Year Old Double Cask 15YO
Another stellar addition to the Double Cask range from Macallan, it`s a 15 Year Old expression! The single malt spent its years in a combination of American and European oak, both of which were seasoned with Oloroso sherry. What did you expect from Macallan? A wonderful balance of creamy sweetness and fiery spice to be found in this one. Butterscotch and plump raisin on the nose, with spiced apple crumble and oak spice. The palate has dried fruits galore, with a dusting of cinnamon, candied ginger and orange peel. More warming ginger on the finish, alongside a drizzle of honey and buttery caramel.
A superb, legendary scotch best enjoyed neat.
