Fernet Branca is bitter and complex, with a long finish. It is typically served as an after-dinner drink or digestif. Fernet Branca has a long history and has been enjoyed by many famous figures over the years. Fernet Branca was Winston Churchill`s favourite drink, and he is quoted as saying: "In victory, deserve it. In defeat, need it." Fernet Branca was also enjoyed by Ernest Hemingway, who once said: "Fernet Branca, that great Yugoslavian drink which cures everything from a hangover to cold feet." Fernet Branca is still popular today and is enjoyed by many people around the world. On the nose is marmalade, hints of fresh mint and pepper. Very aromatic. The palate has perfumed notes of potpourri, fruits, peppermint and zest. Rich. With a dry, oaky finish. Very herbal now.
