Dead Mans Fingers Coconut Rum

Dead Man`s Fingers, Cornwall, England
Rums & Sugar Cane Spirits
UK

70 cl

A lip-smacking spiced rum from the South West, created by the folks from The Rum & Crab Shack. This particular variation is based around the tropical flavours of coconuts, and will work wonderfully in all manner of mixed drinks. The taste profile is very exciting of mango, clove, runny caramel, coconut ice, a touch of lime peel.

Dead Man`s Fingers

In the picturesque St. Ives, Cornwall lies The Rum & Crab Shack, a delightful rum and seafood restaurant owned by Neythan Hayes and Chris McGuire. They decided to create this establishment together after a night enjoying, Diplomatico Reserva Exclusiva. Naturally, inspired by their love of the premium rum from Venezuela, they decided that a building with such a rum-heavy theme should really have its own spiced rum to celebrate. So they made one. The result, Dead Man’s Fingers, was released in 2015, and this blend of Caribbean rums from Barbados and Trinidad is the first spiced rum to be blended and bottled in Cornwall. It also looks and sounds exactly like the kind of rum a pirate would drink. Which is obviously amazing.

A really vibrant rum from Dead Man`s Fingers, the layered cocnut, caramel and mango notes are big enough to be drank with a mixer but we feel this rum is best suited to be in cocktails. Taking away the key coconut cocktails that this would be perfectly suited for such as the `Pina Colada` or a `Coconut Daiquiri`. We like the really fruit driven notes, and find it works and stands up against other spirits too such as-

`Mezcal Jackson`

25ml Dead Man`s Fingers Coconut Rum
25ml Mezcal Verde Momento
25ml Amaretto Saliza
2 drops Angostura Bitters
Garnish with some cocnut flakes
