Chartreuse Yellow
A sweet and spicy liqueur, Chartreuse Yellow is somewhat milder than the Green variant. There`s many unique things about this tipple, not least that it`s made by Carthusian Monks, who were given the recipe all the way back in 1605. What`s more, the flavour and colour are completely natural, derived from the 130 herbs and plants used. This bottling is presented at 43% ABV. On the nose liquorice root, hints of green herbs, a little black pepper and grape skins. Creamy, floral palate. Black pepper brings warmth, with a superb herbal, spicy complexity from lavender, fennel seed and cinnamon. Sweet, herbal finish.
Best enjoyed neat or in a cocktail. Such as....
