Here at Page & Sons we are constantly expanding our wine portfolio, working closely with local producers and long established supplier relationships through the Society of Vintners.

Our first wine to showcase is from the Chapel Down winery in Tenterden, a new addition to their sparkling wines. The Sparkling Bacchus is characterised by aromas of pineapple, grapefruit and elderflower. The palate is tropical and floral with a crisp texture and a refreshing finish, the perfect accompaniment to any occasion.

The next wine, now in, is from the Nittardi Estate on the sun drenched hills of Mongibello delle MandorlaieĀ  in Southern Maremma. The Ad Astra is an approachable yet simultaneously complex red wine that is also a true pleasure when enjoyed young. The respected wine guide Gambero Rosso awarded in 2012 Ad Astra with the highest possible rating, the Tre Bicchieri (‘Three Glasses’).

This month’s addition from Chile is a Cabernet Sauvignon from Patria Nueva, it is a deep ruby red colour with an intense nose of dark cherry, strawberry, cedar and liquorice. It is juicy and round on the palate with firm tannins that combine well with dark fruits, prunes and roasted nuts with a toasty finish. Pair this wine with roasted short ribs cooked with aromatic spices for a great taste combination.
